9 things I wish I could have done while pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering
Background Story
I graduated with an “Informatics & Computer Engineering” degree, but my resume had zero internships/jobs.
Why? How?
I was exposed to a variety of subjects over my four years of study, such as Electrics, Electronics, Physics, Math, Computer Networks, C++, Python, and a few more. I was so preoccupied with the coursework that I didn’t even bother looking for job opportunities in the field. I followed what was being taught at school throughout the entire four years of the program.
Since there were only four of us in my class, I felt a bit abandoned by the institution because our curriculum didn’t even include an internship program. Now you know why I didn’t have a single intern when I was pursuing my bachelor’s degree.
Could Have Done
Today I am a Master’s student studying Software Engineering, and I realized that I was missing out on many things in my bachelor's. The following are things that I did not attain early on in my life, but I would strongly advise anyone looking to work in the tech industry to acquire them.
